Emerald Lake Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, located just past the town of Field, B.C. Built in 1902 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Lodge sits on a 13 acre peninsula overlooking glorious Emerald Lake. Following extensive restorations and renovations the Lodge opened in 1986 and quickly became known as one of the most peaceful and secluded resorts in Canada. The historic Lodge remains the heart of the resort, built of handhewn timber and birch. Inside the main Lodge you will find massive stone fireplaces, an original oak bar relocated from an 1890's Yukon Saloon, cozy sitting areas, a games room as well as spacious verandas to enjoy the amazing views.
The Mt. Burgess Dining Room offers an outstanding a la carte menu featuring Rocky Mountain Cuisine and uses the freshest local grown produce. For three consecutive years Emerald Lake Lodge's wine list has received the Award of Excellence from America's leading wine and spirit authority; The Wine Spectator. Cilantro on the Lake offers exceptional cuisine, serving signature fresh pastas and pizzas during the summer months. In addition to many innovative and culinary delights, on any summer day, afternoon tea is served on the spacious veranda.
There are plenty of activities to choose from all year round. In the summer months enjoy canoeing or fishing on the lake. There are many great hiking and walking trails on the property, one being the famous Mt. Burgess Shale, which hundreds of people visit each year. Winter at Emerald Lake Lodge is a magical wonderland with miles of cross country skiing and snowshoe trails to try. Sitting on your balcony listening to the stillness of the lake is also a favored past time.

Emerald Lake Lodge is home to 85 cabin style guest rooms located in 24 separate buildings. All rooms feature a fieldstone wood burning fireplace, private bath, private balcony, down duvets and pillows, telephone, coffee maker and hairdryers. All rooms are non smoking and no pets are permitted on the property.
Lodge rooms have one king, one queen or two double beds with a cozy sitting area in front of the fireplace which is stocked daily with firewood.
