Buffalo Mountain Lodge lies on the gentle slopes of Tunnel Mountain, once known as "Sleeping Buffalo" by the Canadian Native culture. The Lodge opened in 1988 and is situated on 9 acres of beautiful sculpted woodland. The architectural style is simple elegance with original handhewn construction. The main Lodge features a massive fieldstone fireplace and open beam ceilings accented with bent willow, cherry and pine furniture.
Buffalo Mountain Lodge is an ideal property for visitors looking to experience a true Canadian Mountain Lodge, yet wishing to enjoy the many attractions of Banff and all the town has to offer. The Main Dinning Room has a well founded reputation for providing the finest and most innovative cuisine in the Canadian Rockies. Our game is supplied from our own Game Farm Ranch located in Calgary, home of the famous Rocky Mountain Cuisine.

Cilantro Mountain Café offers fresh Californian cuisine; famous in the town of Banff for its fresh pastas and pizzas which you can enjoy on the charming outdoor patio.
Summer months in Banff offer a wide variety of activities to choose from including hiking, biking, horseback riding, golfing and of course, relaxing and enjoying the amazing scenery. For winter enthusiasts, Banff is home to two world famous ski hills; Sunshine and Mt. Norquay and of course the world renowned Lake Louise ski hill is only 45 minutes away. There are miles of cross country ski trails in the surrounding area and Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a 20 minute walk to the center of Banff or to the Banff Centre for the Arts.
Buffalo Mountain Lodge is home to 108 guest rooms. All rooms feature a fieldstone wood burning fireplace, private bath, private balcony or patio (except Suites) down duvets and pillows, telephone, cable television, coffee maker, clock radio and hairdryers. All rooms are non smoking and no pets are permitted on the property.
Premier rooms have one queen bed with a cozy sitting area in front of the fireplace which is stocked daily with firewood.
Premier rooms have an antique bathroom with heated slate flooring, separate shower stall and an old fashioned claw footed bath tub. Premier rooms also feature a VCR.
